I had my tonsils taken out as a adult, it's tough!!!! Everyone told me they had there tonsils out as a child-piece of cake, so needless to say I had it in my head it was going to be a breeze, was I in for a total surprize! The pain was incredable, I was vomiting up blood for a week and after that I got mono. I was totally run down. My touncils had to come out because I had throat infection's so many times my tonsils were decaying. I was sick all the time, now I rarely have a sore throat, so it did do some good. Good luck!
