It is 3am on the morning of September 22nd. I am scheduled to have my tonsillectomy at 9:30am today. I have not slept at all tonight due to my nervousness. While in my trance of nervousness and fear I came upon this website and had to quench my curiosity's thirst by reading each and very single post. I am getting my tonsils out due tonsil stones mainly, but I get sore throats and earaches on a regular basis also. My ENT says it is tonsilitis. In some ways these post made me more nervous but on the other hand,i think it will help a great deal. I don't know how I am going to handle such pain since I have never had any surgery of any kind. All I know is that I am sure in the end it will be worth it and that's what I'll try to think about. Thank you to everyone for sharing your experiences good and bad. I took notes on some of the great tips, which I hope will make my recuperation a little smoother. Ahhh...6 hours to go :) What doesn't kill me, will make me stronger? lol I'll try to check in after several days. I going to stay with my grandmother and she doesn't have internet access otherwise I'd love to give a day by day posting.
