You dont need a colonscopy or whatever it is to be diagnosed. Fistulas are pretty obvious as the doctor can see the opening next to the anus. This is the same for fissures but if the fissure is suspected to be inside of the anus, then you need to perform the colonoscopy. Anal fistulas will stay unless you undergo surgery for it. There seems to be no other way. Meanwhile it is a pain in the rear. HAHAHA. Anyway - hope the best...
