boil treatment

I keep boils all the time. I suffer from a condition called Hidradrenitis Suppurtavia as a result from excessive spreading boils. Basically, that means mine never go away. They pop up and stay. I have battled this for over 12 years, and had every treatment known to man. Once they spread like mine do, there is no cure. The best thing I have found to help relieve the pain a little is wrapping a hot rag around a slice of potato and placing it directly on the boil. Soaking in a bath as hot as you can stand it helps. The best type of cream I have found to apply for the pain/and or smell is a barrier cream called Tena Promise Barrier. Its from the hospital/nursing home product line. Again, these tihngs only minimize the pain, and doesn't cure them either. Be sure to wash sheets daily, the bacteria can linger, and never re-wear any type of clothing at all. I have found that silk or satin, wool, and flannel clothing aggravates the boil. When the boils is at its peak and hurts the absolute worst is when it is about to burst open.. at this point I take about three to four 500mg caplets of motrin..use according to your pain intensity and body type, and apply heat as much as I can to the area. Don't allow your skin to become oily either, I have found the dryer it is, the better. I am 23 and have had radiation, surgeries, antibiotic treatments, lancings, and tried every herb out there. So far the best antibiotic I have found helps aid in the recovery is zythromicin/zithromax. If you have a boil in a private area, don't let underwear or jeans put any pressure or rub the area, it aggravates it. This is about all that I can think of right now, it probably isn't much help, but its information to know.
