Does your friend live in Southern California? The City of Hope was conducting experiments and trying to develop a vaccine for CMV. This was about 2 1/2 years ago, because I was involved in it. I was a bone marrow donor for my Brother & was called in to participate in the program for about 2 months. At that time they were working on my blood type, but I could never find out how the study went. I would suggest that they be contacted for any update. I wish you well.
