Hello, My son Freddy has Cystic Fibrosis and is 12 years old. The thing with Pancreatitis is that their is no medicine that can cure it..The best thing to do is to give your son a daily does of metamucil or a natural fiber supplement to reduce blockage of the intestines.. When your child has symptoms of Pancreatitis....like vomiting...no appetite...cramps in and around the naval...do not let him eat by mouth..this will only make the pancreatitis worse...Give him only liquid suppliments...juice..jello..broth and so forth..I hope this helps..as a child gets older their pancrease tends to have less episodes due to its functions.
