see i can understand what you are going through. well you wanted to hear from someone havin this disease but sorry i am not but i can give you all the information you require.see askin other patients about this on day to day basis doesnt do any good because cryptococcosis manifests in many ways like involvement of brain, meninges, lungs, skin, bones and rarely other organs like liver ,heart and kidneys. see you mentioned that it recurred well tell me do you have pet pigeons or do you have a lot of pigeon population around most of the times pigeons, cats etc carry this fungi. OR it can recurr if your husband had some kind of immunosuppression like transplant, steroids, old age , diabetes etc. huney what else do you want to know feel free to ask if you wish you can mail me .. well let me tell you more to relieve your anxiety regarding symptoms it has a varied spectrum like headache, nausea, changes in walking, mood changes, confusion. vision difficulties, cough, chest pain and many other things. your husband would become fine .....and to avoid any recurrent episodes stay away from pigeon population and animals like cats and i will tell you one more interesting thing.....see the types of pigeons which carry this are mostly found in the tropics and subtropical regions around eucalyptus trees. take care bye.
