Our grandson had an accident snowboarding last Friday 2/2/2001. He was air lifted to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena,CA He had the HALO immediately placed on him. According to information he has injured his 5th vertebra. He has arm and hand motion, but little grasp. We do not have a report on his MRI. We have no idea of where we stand or where we may be headed. Since this has happened, we have heard from several friends and relatives about others who have been injured. They seem to have recovered. But since we are all individuals who knows? Our son and his wife are at their lowest. I talked to my son this evening and thought it might be a good idea to find some kind of support group. Since we have no idea of which direction, I appeal to you to give us some assistance in this area. They live in the Upland California area. But at the moment they are staying at the hospital. They are simply lost at this time.
