Hi Amy, I have also had a spontaneous pneumothorax around the same time you did. I had surgery Thanksgiving week. I had alot of pain but it is getting better each day. Most of my pain now is in the chest and on the side. I find that I have most of my pain when I have had a very active day, doing alot of house cleaning or cleaning the pool or if I do lifting or pushing. My doctor told me not to lift for three months after the surgery. Some days I have alot more pain than others but for the most part it has gotten alot better. I don't know if it will ever go away completely. Well I hope you get to feeling better soon. What kind of surgery did you have? I had a vats.
