If you also get muscle pains, numbness or tingling in your face and hands, headaches, feelings of losing your mind and going crazy you probably have anxiety attacks. If you were having a heart attack, you would have had it already. They don't last for weeks at a time. Anxiety does. It goes along with the constant feeling of doom and that you are going to die. When you start thinking about these things, they bring on the symptoms. You change your breathing pattern which causes tightness in your chest, you worry about passing out and your convinced your lightheaded and dizzy, you tense up your muscles and that brings on muscular body aches. Do you ever go shopping and feel like you must get out of the store because your convinced your going to pass out or throw up. Your legs become shakey, your heart beats fast, your head feels dizzy. This is full blown panic caused by anxiety. I have had these episodes for years on and off. Some helpful hints: stay away from caffeine, exercise as much as possible (cardio) and, if you need something prescribed, try xanax. You can take it immediately and within 20 minutes or so you will get relief. It takes the edge off and helps bring back that relaxed feeling without making you feel dopey. One more thing, don't drink alcohol. Hope this helps. You might want to read some books about anxiety. There are millions of people who suffer from this and many times it is hereditary.
