i don't think it passes that quickly. colitis causes flares and swelling that produce a chemical that makes you have to go and most the time it is bloody mucus like stuff. the rest of the digesional system is uneffected with colitis. when anything goes thru the large intestines and meets the active colitis it reacts. i am not a doctor yet i do suffer and so does my daughter from colitis.
