hello, i had polio at age 5 and was in an iron lung for a few weeks i have a scar from where my head laid on the tray of the machine and now they believe i have fusion near the base of the spinal column. the scar is 2 inches by 1/2 in across the spine. i was paralized from the waist down for 13 months and woeked out with physical therapy everyday for 5 years. i am now 46 and having terrible headaches weakness in the extremities numbing in my arms and a pain in my neck most of the time. i recently lost feelings from the waist down for over 2 hours and my muscles are constantly sore and painful. i have no insurance and can not work due to the extreme problems i am experiencing 40 years later. the doctors are trying to put me on social security but this takes time so i wait and suffer.fell free to write me anytime. thanks for your interest. cindy grady
