I also have Hypertrophic Cardiomyopaty was diagnose in 1997 I was told there was nothing they could do for me in the city that I live in. I went to NIH in Bethesda Maryland,I had a dual pacemaker inplanted it worked very well for about 2 years. My condition is now starting to get bad again. I went down to NIH just last week to see what they thought,they now think I need to have the Alcohol Ablation procedure done,they cannot do it for me because I have already been on one of there clincal trials for this condition,I would go to another hospital in Washington DC to have this done,but the doctor from NIH would come to the hospital and do it for me. I am now waiting to see if my insurance will pay for this. I retired on Disabilty in 1997 from the federal goverment because I was too sick to work. I received my social Security diabilty in 5 months. Since than I have gone back to work part time,but believe me there are days I cannot work. if you would like to write to me at my e=mail I would be glad to talk with you.
