Yes, I have experienced the same problem...I have not seen a GYN approximately 18 months, until I was experiencing abnormal bleeding...I have had abdormal bleeding for quite some time, but they never mentioned fibroid tumors....Well, the beginning of November during my GYN visit, he noticed that my uterus was enlarged. I was scheduled for an ultrasound and that is when my large fibroid was diagnosed. It is 10 centimenters and I only have the one, which is large....I am scheduled for a hysterectomy soon. My doctor was surprised on how large and sudden my tumor has grown within 18 months...SO, please let me know what your doctor said about you....You are not alone...I am 36 years old and now face a hysterectomy..I am scared, but I hear that you feel like a new person after surgery...We shall see...I hope you had good results from your ultrasound..Please let me know...I look forward to your response....Sharon
