Can amenorrhea affect me getting pregnant?

I have amenorrhea and have been able to concieve 2 children without the use of any fertility drugs, etc. You need to have a period every 8 to 10 weeks. If you have amenorrhea, then after the 8 weeks, test yourself to see if you are pregnant. If you are not, you need to get a prescription for a hormone called Medroxyprogesterone to start your menstrual period. You can continue to try to concieve while you take the drug. Sometimes the hormone causes you to ovulate, so if you don't have a period within 2 1/2 weeks of taking the hormone, test yourself again. It took a year to concieve and of course was very stressful. I talked to a nurse friend of mine regarding fertility drugs, etc. She advised that we should have sex every other day and see if that works before trying any fertility drugs. it worked. i hope this helps.
