Thank God I finally connected with someone who is experiencing the same thing I am! I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis about 5 years ago. First I had swollen tear glands with dry eye, then I got sarcoid in my entire sinus cavity. I have lost my sense of smell, and have had 3 surgeries in my sinuses, including having one of my turbinates removed so I could breath better. I have had a surgery on my tear glands because of excessive watery eyes. As a result, I was infected with a cellulitis infection on my face and had to be hospitalized for 6 days. Now, I have trachea involvement. The only treatment the doctors offer is, of course, Prednisone. My physician does not know any other treatment, in particular because I am experiencing bumps on the back of my throat. These bumps cause severe dry throat, especially at night. I also get a gagging sensation whenever I try to sleep. I am desperately seeking alternative treatments. Especially because my husband and I are trying to have a baby. I cannot afford to take any medications that would interfere. If you have any suggestions or if you just want to talk some more about your symptoms, please get back to me soon.
