I have an 18 year old daughter with microcephaly, she has learning disabilities, but other wise is doing just fine. Maybe your child has other complications other than the microcephaly, because my daughter's Doctor said that she will probably, with God's will, outlive me. Keep praying and just to let you know there are others out here that understand what your going through, to some point we're all the same.
