ovarian cyst

I don't know if this will make you feel better, but I had surgery many years ago (1971), and had what they call "a wedge resection" on my ovaries. I am sure that they do this surgery much better now, but I got adhesions from it and my falopian tubes were affected. I had trouble getting pregnant, for about 3 years, but I have two healthy boys that are all grown up now. They told me the adhesions were from something else they did, which was called "a uterine suspension". They don't even do that anymore!! So that should tell you something! I wouldn't worry if I were you, and if it's only on one ovary, it shouldn't give you any problems when you want to get pregnant. Also, if you don't take care of this, I believe that it can rupture and you will be in a world of hurt! I would find a real good doctor who has done this many times before...even a general surgeon, not a Gyn. Good luck!
