My best friend & I are nurses and had bunion surgery one month apart. When we could finally go out driving, we went shoe shopping to find something for our still swollen, tender feet. We explained this to the salesgirl who informed us that she had recently had bunion surgery by laser and had no/very little pain and she was standing there in high heels. I would definitely seek out laser if I needed my other foot done. I think she went to New York City. This was approx. 1990 so my memory is rusty. Hope this helps.
