My Question is now that wild deer and elk in the U.S. have Got Mad Cow Disease, Why is our F.D.A. doing so little to protect the public? We are still Feeding (Downer Cows) to Pigs And dairy Cows and Poultry! In 1987 a mink farm in Wyoming had all the animals die from a form of Mad Cow Disease. And the mink on that farm were fed only downer cows. Farmers get paid $100.00 for sending there sick downer cows to rendering plants. But if they were to have an autopsy done on them it would cost them $500.00 With the long incubation time of this disease, The U.S.A. could have an outbreak that would make Englands pale in comparison! I would like to here from anyone on research being done on poultry being infected with B.S.E.
