Spasmodic Torticollis - Australia

Would like to find ST people in Australia. I have had it since July 2000, GP's were hopeless until sent to a Neurosurgeon. Had Botox injections, has lasted 2 months. Had it back, not as severe, but Botox fixed it for that period. I decided to help pave a big area, and went back to normal every day work. I am an owner of a tourism business, so the usual gardening, cleaning etc. Tried acupuncture with a DR who has learnt it, no good. Now found a very traditional chinese DR from China, and in three sessions he had me straight again. He uses Qigong as well. Similar to Tai Chi. Qigong has slow stretching movements for specific problem areas. I have been waiting for him to return from a trip, and will let you know what happens. He seems my only hope, as in Australia even though we have private health cover the Botox injections are not Gov. subdised, and the last lot cost $A900. I cannot keep finding that amount every two months. It is not a recognised cure over here. I keep going, but can't be out with the public, fed up telling them what is wrong. Have the same people saying "hows your neck?". Even after you tell them you are trying to find a cure. Mine started after a fall, landing on my right side of my head and shoulders. Then thought I had stress in my shoulders and needed a massage. Then my head just kept lifting when I was talking to people. Numerous DR's - hopeless Physio, Cat scan, Oesteo, acupuncture, kinesology, nothing worked until this chinese man. The three sessions I had was to see if he could do something. Then said to come back when I had a week of no work. Then he had to go away, and I had to wait till now. That is a brief outline.I even wondered if it was alcohol related, as I always have about three glasses of red wine every night and thought that might have affected it as well. Then thought that alcohol actually helped the condition. As a funny told someone I should start drinking at 9am, and should be free of this all day. Ha Ha So then worked out that relaxation and maybe stress was involved. So Qigong may be the answer. He has said it is to be done twice a day, morning and night. There is meditation involved in it as well. I think we have to get away from drugs, and try something else. Have also been onto Pubmed - National Library of Medicine. In there found an article on Hypnosis and ST. So will try Qigong first, and have confidence it will work. Hope this is of some help to everyone. Would like to find Aussies with the problem. Everyone seems to be in the US.
