My daughter is int he hospital right now with a chest tube and the surgeon wants to do surgery. She has only been there 5 days and they have clamped the tube twice. First, they clamped it after 24 hours and she had to be put back to suction, then they waited 48 hours and clamped it again. She is now back on the suction but they wanted to take her to surgery today and she said no. I don't feel they are giving her enough time to heal. Can anyone give me any ideas on how your treatment went?
