I stopped taking birth control pills at the beginning of August and had a period, but I have not had a period since. It has been close to three months now. I am very stressed out and worried about this. My husband and I want a baby very badly. I am 25 years old, and have been on the pill for close to 8 years. Before I went on the pill, my periods were irregular. I have been to the doctor, and he did some blood tests. He said I was low estrogen. Could this still be a result of the birth control pill? He would like to do more tests, but my insurance does not cover them. Should I wait a few more months to see if my periods return? I would love to hear from anyone who discontinued birth control and had trouble having periods again.
