joyce, i am 59 yr old,and have had 5 or 6 strokes. you have to keep moving and trying,you've seen people with their arms against their chests,i was determined i was not going to be like that. strokes are horrible,and 7 yrs ago i could not walk,talk or pee,and needless to say that SUCKS! i was fortunate to have survived,in fact the drs didn't think i was going to make it.the important thing is NOT TO GIVE UP!it's been a long hard trip trying to get back to where i was and am.none of it is easy. yes i still have effects of the strokes and i'm walking,using the computer which i learned by playing solitare.i had to think of each move but i'm damn good at it now.e-mail me and i unlike your therapist will help you,because i've been there, and am not a vegetable,like they thought i'd be.looking forward to hearing from you! my name is fran
