Celulitus can be contagious through poor hygine. Remember Celulitis is a bacterial infection of the lower skin tissue in which that persons imune system can't deal with. If a person was to come into contact with the infecting bacteria [ie through wound fluids] and have themselves a wound/cut or broken skin surface then the bacteria will pass to that person. Normal pepole have an imune system that normally attacks unfriendly bacteria and kills it off, but we all can be caught at times when we feel low/ ill and our imune system may not deal with the celulitus causing bactera. Always wash after dealing with infections and use antiseptic creams on wounds to kill/prevent infection. best wishes john k.
