I presently live in an Asian country and will be giving birth here. I would like to breast feed, but the doctors here believe that the colostrum is not sufficient for the first few days and want to insist on using either formula or a combination of formula and breast milk. I do not agree with this view point and am looking for information that I can give them to try to convince them that colostrum is sufficient. I have to stay in the hospital for 3 days minimum (even in the case of a straight forward birth with no complications) and so this will pose a problem. Any advice? good websites? books titles? would be appreciated!
