Several years ago I broke my tailbone. Since then I have been having recurring pains in my rectum. It feels like someone is taking a knife and shoving it up my rear. The pain is so intense that I am virtually incapacitated for at least 15 minutes. The pains come at anytime, anywhere, and last anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes. I generally have at least 1 per week. I know that doesn't sound like much, but believe me, the pain of 1 might as well be 1 everyday. if you find anything out about your problem, please let me know, and I will do the same for you. My dr. did an MRI and found nothing so he is putting me on an antidepressant that is also supposed to help pain. No results so far.
