Sharon-My husband,Doug,had Full Blown RSD in both his legs and feet and was in a wheelchair for 6 years until getting Sympathetic Nerve Block (series of 12) in 1995 with 3 months of Inpatient Rehab to teach him how to walk again. 3 months ago the RSD symptoms came back and he is AGAIN in the wheelchair with most of the symptoms you say you have. From experience it sounds like you have RSD. It is VERY hard to find Doctors that specialize in RSD, as I'm sure you have already found out. The Nuerosurgeon that treated him the last time is no longer in practice in the Dallas, TX. area and we are desperatly looking for a Dr. that can do these Sympathetic Nerve Blocks. Do you have certain limbs that are effected by this nerve pain(ex:arms,legs) or is it all over??? email me and we can talk more about how the symptoms progress, medications that have helped him and may help you, and any questions you may have about the disorder.
