My husband has had 9 ortho surgeries, including 2 cervical and 4 lumbar. Neck and lower back both have metal hardware. He has been diagnosed with several things, including stenosis. He gets very little relief from laying down. His MD always told him to do that too. He can't sit, walk, sleet or drive without being in constant pain. Has been living on pain meds for 4-1/2 yrs now. It might be time for you to consider changing MDs or seeing a pain guy. (Although, my husband has done both and neither has helped.) If you want to write to me directly, we can discuss this further.
