I have had migraines for 40 years. Many of the symptoms you describe could be migraine,dizziness,ringing in the ears but you don't say if you get a bad headache in conjunction with all or any of the symptoms. You can get what is called a prodrome(the things you describe usually prior to the headache) and some people never get the headache. I would get another opinion and have the doctor clarify what atypical migraine is supposed to mean.
