My 5 year old son has had atopic dermatitis almost since birth. The steroid creams do work for him, but we also found Aveno (sp Eveno?) oatmeal bath and aveno lotion also provide the same or better control with no prescription needed. The lotion really seems to work well on him. The presriptions our family doctor provided were not very good according to the dermitologist we finally went to last year.
