hi there my name is tasha and i just read your message you had posted and i just wanted to tell you that my sister had her surgery done today and it took about 6 hours, she had metal rods put on either side of her spine and then they used clamp like things to hold the rods against the spine to prevent it from moving. her full recovery will probably be about 6months to a year it depends on the person but her curvature percentage was 5o% so if you are worried about anything you should go to your doctor to find out anything that you are curious about because it is better to get the surgery done when you are younger opossed to when you are older and your body has allready finished developing and your body won't be able to finish growing properly.
