I think everyone knows someone in there life time who has a drinking problem. Trying to get them to admitt that they have a problem is a tough one. Most of them think there is nothing wrong, drinking everyday-we know different. First you have to talk to that person in a very gentle, concerned manner. Try to get them to see what they are doing to there body and there life, If they do admiitt they have a drinking problem, offer to go with that person to see a councler who can handle this problem, make it a team effert, be very supportive. Eventually that person will have regular meetings with a councler by his or herself. prasie and be very supportive. I went threw that with someone very close to me years ago, we did the coucling, his drinking was on again, off again, he was a week-end alcholic-binge drinker, one night he was driving home-drunk, drove off the road into a small pond, his car was in the water, he had water up to his shoulders, he was found the next day, alive!!! When I saw him, he wanted simpathy because his head and arm were pretty banged up, I was so mad, I said, I don't know why God gave you another chance in life, your just going to blow it again, you don't deserve another chance, Do you know ever since that day, he stopped drinking, it took that situation to straighten him out. I wish you all the luck in the world, I know it is hard. Karen
