Hi, I would like to hear from people who have had epidural injections to relieve sciatica. I'd like all opinions, both pro and con. Reason I'm asking about it is that this was suggested to me on my last visit to my orthopaedic doctor. My major symtom is pain in my left glut that seems to always be there and very tight hamstrings.I have tried anti-inflammatory drugs and also some of the newest drugs out. Also, Physical therapy was part of my routine and I still work on strengthening and stretching my back and hamstrings on my own. Also, I liked to work out at the gym. After the epidural injections did anyone resume exercising again (I'm sure there would be a change in the routine, but did the epidural help in the strengthening of the lumbar area without alot of pain after the workout) Thanks for any and all responses.
