Well it's 2 weeks after my surgery and I almost feel back to 100%. Still a bit painful and swollen, but I am now back to work. I had 1 foot removed and it was reattached during the same surgery, so no bag. I spent 6 days in the hospital and then a week at home. I am just very happy that this is all over and done with. Although I will have diverticulosis for the rest of my life, I can deal with it. I was never a big nut eater to begin with, and will miss strawberries, but, what the heck, being able to have normal bowel movements makes everything worth it! I particularly like the orange flavor Metamucil. That stuff has been a life saver as well.
