i have been having extreme pain in my right hip and runs down my leg to the knee with numbness in the leg. mri of the lumbar spine is normal except at L4.5 and L5-S1 where there is evidence for desiccation and mild bulging of the annulus fibrosus. it is of note that small joint effusions are seen in the facet joints especially in the lower levels. impression of mild DDD and DJD {whatever that means} with possible facet strain. doctor indicates that i have a pinched nerve and i am scheduled for emg/nerve evaluation. the only relief has been accupture. any remarks or suggestions are very welcome. thanks. warren
