Trying to guesstimate what pain for any sergical procedure is a toughy. Your own tlerance for pain will be the key. I am a nurse and a veteran of many major surgeries and 4 babies. There have been some instances when a procedure for me has been a snap and others very painful. Best thing is to have a positive attitude but you don't need to make a martyr of yourself either. If it hurts use your pain meds and don't be afraid to ask for it. I have worked in some hospitals where they are "stingy" with the meds and I think to myself those people should have to experience anything painful an thye would be more human. Ask your doc how he plans to handle your comfort level. You may actually be quite surprise and find the anticipation is worse than the realization. Good Luck. Paulie
