My hives started 6 yrs ago. Unfortunately they gave me every antihistimine under the sun and prednisone for 10 mo. Other then gaining 40 lbs nothing helped. They tapered down to just before my period and last time had them they didn't go away for two weeks. Went to an IMMUNOLOGIST and he had an ultrasound done of my abdomen. Turns out I have massive gall stones and have to have it removed. It may not be the cause but it's a suspicion. Candida is a main contributor as well and they say cocnut oil helps that. But the steroids only make them come back 10 fold if you don't stay on them. And to stay on them is almost as lethal as they're awful for you. I'll let ya know what happens after surgery.
