Dito, My mother has factor five leiden and she was on meds for heat flashes and menopause and she ended up with blood clots in her lungs. Even if you do not have history of blood clots but have history of heart attacks or strokes be tested a head of time before taking the Pill. My Mom was the only one with the blood clot problem in my family, but have a grandfather who died at a young age of heart attack. be careful. Good luck. Sharon
