It is not worth smoking if you are on the pill. I did not smoke and I got a blood clot 2 years ago which landed me in the hospital. Luckily for me in was not a deep vein blood clot but what they call a superficial. However I wouldn't be to concerned I was on the pill for quite sometime over a 15 year period on & off. But I will tell you the same thing happened to my sister. It was not genetic though. I was tested for that. I was on Ortho -Tri-cyclen too. Just be sensible while on the pill. Hopefully that helps.
