I have Sarcoidosis of the liver.I am not sure how long I have had it, but it started in my lungs at least 4 yrs ago, and then it was found in my liver, via a biospy (sp). My liver function test came back with a high alakline phorphoris (sp) levels. Seeing as I was already overweight the doctor put me on Imuran. I have been on it for a little over a year, and my liver function test is near normal now. Other than the sore joints, the tiredness, and a constant cough, I feel pretty good. One of the problems with Imuran is that it suppresses your immune system, and staying well is difficult to do sometimes. Takes a very long time to get well.
