I had the same problem at about the same age. I was put on Provera also. It didn't work for me. I ended up having the worst period of my life three months later and end up with the worst case of acne also. I was only having my cycle 3 times a year. They wanted to put me on the pill but I had no intention of having sex until marriage either. But as soon as I watched my diet and started exercising it helped me alot. My cycle was more predictable. I don't think that the pill will affect your chance of havingchildren. It has not been a problem for some of my friends. I went on the pill after my second child to regulate my period and they assure me that it won't hurt my chance of getting preg. after I stop taking it.
