I can't give you first han knowledge but I have a wonderful cousin who had polio when she was in her teens. She is now sixtyish and has suffered with post polio for several years now. It did a lot of twisting and turning with her body. she gets very tired and can't walk far now. She was a teacher, retired last year. My mother-in-law also had polio as a child and had no trace of post polio. It is a confusing disorder. Best of luck.
