To answer part of your question about multiple myeloma,my father had the same cancer,when he was diagnosed with it,they gave hime five years from the date of diagnoses to live. And tes he should go to the VA....they told my dad also Viet Nam related,especially if your husband was over there when agent orange was sprayed....they feel this is what caused it. Good luck with your care and they have come a long way with this diease for the treatment.My dad was diagnosed with it over eight years ago. Sincerely, Debbie K.
