My 12 yr old recently hada very red, rash to face, back, torso, arms, legs, not really itchy, but very round, pronounced rash. She had been diagnosed with strep the week before, finished her antibiotics. RAsh persisted, after4 visits to pediatrician, dx was strep-induced outbreak of Guttatte psoriasis, which is fading after treatment. She has a tendency to possibly break out in times of stress, but md doesn't know if it will become chronic or not! Did your son have strep recently? Does the rash sound familiar, or different? There are other types of psoriasis, so check that ot. Good luck...
