I have had a total of 13 blocks. I had 9 lumbar sympathetic nerve blocks. 3 facet blocks which I got about 60 per cent relief but the pain than came and went. I was treated for reflex sypathy dystrophy. On june 8 I had my first epidural block. Had a lot of pain the next day but I now have very little pain. I am scheduled for two more epidurals. It depends on the person and condition. My lower back problems are degenative disc disease, spinal stenosis and pinched nerve. It takes quite awhile. I don't know if I will ever be completely free of pain but I have many days and hours now with no pain. good luck just don't rush it
