I have been ill since Nov. 1997. I started with an upper respiratory infection which turned into severe asthma which I never had before. I was treated with high dose prednsione for long periods of time. Consequently, I developed adreanl gland insufficiency in which my adrenal gland went to sleep. They have been unable to get me off the steriods. I have been hospitialized with severe adrenal crisis. Does any one else have this condition. Treatment for me has been prednisone with slow weaning. My condition is complicated by my asthma in which I am on a lot of medicine to keep it under control.
