First, what about Social Security Disability...do you receive that? Second, in my state you must not receive more than $625 per mo., per person, to qualify for SSI...which you certainly need. I started receiving SSD and then Medicare 2 years later. The Medicare made it possible to sign on with an HMO. The HMO worked well until my condition progressed and needed more extensive help...so I dropped the HMO, and applied for the SSI. I am now gathering all the state requires for information to allow them to cover medical costs and medication.I have covered a lot of information rather quickly, so if you need explanation, please feel free to email.
