my daughter was diagnosed with nf1 at the age of fourteen, she is now 32. Mind you it has been a rough road for her. At this minute she is slowly trying to recover from sugery. The tumor was in the head. Actually all the tumors have been in the brain. I have studied and researched nf1, since my daughter was 14.
