Fibromyalgia and obesity

Message 3 of 5 Previous Next

I'm not a doctor, so I can't answer this with conviction, but I do know that a lot of Fibromyalgics are obese (I'm one). Our CNS (Central Nervous System) is dysfunctional, and the endocrine system is affected by that. So there could be a connection. I do know one thing with conviction. We fibromyalgics don't feel like exercising. When we DO exercise we do it wrong and too fast and hurt too much to exercise soon again. (me too.) We are slower movers than non-fibromyalgics. (Me too.) This DOES figure into obesity. You know, we CAN exercise (the right way), and with a proper nutritious diet, we can lose weight just like anyone else. But do we feel like doing this? We'd better. *I'd* better.
